Joe Santry was born and raised in
Columbus, Ohio. Joe is a graduate of Bishop Hartley High School and
attended The Ohio State University. Joe Santry serves as the Director
of Communications/Media and Historian for the Columbus Clippers. During
Joe’s tenure with the Clippers, the team completed a twenty-two year
partnership as the New York Yankees' Triple-A affiliate. The Clippers
return to the National League farm system in 2007, as the minor league
affiliate of the Washington Nationals.
Among
Joe's many responsibilities with the Clippers include the team's
website and press box. Known as “The Dean” of professional baseball
historians, Joe is one of the most sought after speakers in Central
Ohio.
Joe
Santry continues to be a leader in baseball history preservation and
fan awareness. A long time member of the Society of American Baseball
Research, Joe has been the unsung information hero for many of today’s
baseball literary works.
