Cindy graduated magna sum laude from Wright State University in 1984, with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught preschool and kindergarten in church environments for nearly twenty years before retiring her chalk and hanging up her playground whistle in 2003. Cindy's interest in family history inspires all her writing. She has presented Genealogy 101, a talk on how to begin your family history research, to various groups. She is the author of Celtic Wisdom, Treasures from Ireland (Lion, 2009). She has also written a historical novel, Brigid of Ireland (Monarch, 2006) and co-authored the baseball biography, Three Finger: The Mordecai Brown Story (University of Nebraska Press, 2006) with her cousin Scott Brown. Her work has appeared in numerous magazines including Clubhouse Magazine, True West, Internet-Genealogy, and publications of the Society for American Baseball Research. She is a member of the Society for American Baseball Research, The Historical Novel Society, and American Christian Fiction Writers. She is represented by Literary Agent Chip MacGregor:
